The Cave of Poetry is a natural swimming pool, set among the limestone rocks of the Salento coast in Puglia.

About 5 meters deep and with crystal clear turquoise water, it is fed by the Adriatic Sea to which it is connected by an underwater tunnel.

It is a magical and evocative place where the play of light and shadow inside the cave creates magical and evocative atmospheres.

The area is surrounded by the archaeological area of Roca Vecchia (province of Lecce).

The name “Cave of Poetry” comes from the legend that the cave was the refuge of water lilies who gathered here to bathe and sing their songs and poems.
